Grant Writing Assistance Program

  • Tap into the millions of dollars in government funds available for educational supplies.
  • No fees, no risk to you.
WARD'S Natural Science has partnered with the grant-writing professionals of Distance Education Consultants (DEC) to write 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Grants. The CCLC grant funds are for multi-discipline, aftershcool programs supporting the academic enrichment of students.

Through this partnership we will write this CCLC grant for your school or district free of charge. In return for this service, should your grant be approved by your state, you are required to spend 10% of the total grant funds on the DEC's history teaching tool, known as the Virtual Tutor, and another 10% of the total grant with WARD's for science supplies and training. The remaining 80% of your grant funds can be used for any other discipline you wish to implement.

Background on the CCLC grant can be found at www.ed.gov.

To get started you will need to check with your state's education office to determine your state's CCLC grant deadline. You will need approximately three months lead time, as your district superintendent must approve and sign memorandums of understanding with both WARD'S and the DEC in order to start the free grant writing service. Your school's student population should have at least 25% eligible for the free lunch program to be considered for the CCLC grant.

For more information, contact WARD'S at 800-962-2660.

To recap, here are four easy steps to get started:
1. Find your state's CCLC deadline (visit your state's department of education website)
2. Review the documents below and contact WARD'S to start the process
3. Superintendent approves and signs the memorandums of understanding
4. Return the signed documents, along with a completed needs assesment form to WARD'S
