Professional Development Opportunities
WARD'S Professional Development Training Sessions offer science teachers a new opportunity to bring technology into the classroom, help meet the demands of the "No Child Left Behind Act" and provide greater opportunities in the pursuit of professional development.
NEW! Professional Development Opportunity
It is not too late to get Professional Development from the Technology Trio: Vernier Software and Technology, Texas Instruments, and WARD'S Natural Science, We still have room in our two-day AP* Biology summer workshops. The workshops feature hands-on training for seven of the “dirty dozen” AP Biology lab activities recommended by The College Board. The locations of the remaining workshops are: San Diego August 11 and 12).
The workshops will be presented by Bob Goodman, a nationally-known and experienced AP Biology teacher and presenter, as well as staff from the Tech Trio. Workshop attendees will learn how to collect more accurate data, faster, and how to teach students to analyze the data more efficiently by integrating technology—computers, TI graphing calculators, LabQuest, LabPro and CBL2—into the classroom.
Please visit the Vernier site for registration and additional information. The $149 (U.S.) registration fee includes a free copy of Vernier's lab book, Biology with Computers, WARD'S Teacher Guides and Student Instructions CD-ROM for all the workshop labs, as well as other free material. You can also arrange to receive college credit, if desired. |
