It looks like a conventional refrigerator, but this model can safely store flammable or explosive materials because all wiring and contacts are encased to prevent sparks. The hermetically sealed, explosion-proof compressor with 1/6 hp is in a sturdy steel cabinet. The exterior is in baked white acrylic, while the interior is in porcelain enamel. It features three shelves on the refrigerator door and three interior shelves. The separate freezer compartment also includes a door shelf. The unit must be wired directly to a wall. UL-listed for Class 1 Group C and D materials. Temperature range: refrigerator: 20–59°F; freezer: -15 to +32°F.
