Effectively Trap Soil-Dwelling Insects |
This unbreakable polyethylene funnel and one quart bottle set provides an interesting and effective way to trap smaller insects that live in or on the soil. Simply place the 1″ diameter screen plug in the funnel that is set in the mouth of the bottle, and then place the soil in the funnel. The screen plug blocks debris from falling into the bottle, but allows the passage of small organisms. As the soil dries, from the top down, the organisms in the soil migrate downward and drop into the bottle for preservation or observation. Setup size: 8″ x 4″ dia.
