The prize-winning CHEM STUDY video series is an extremely effective and intriguing addition to any chemistry course. Originally filmed in the 1960s these videos are still popular classics. They feature:

Mechanisms of some simple chemical reactions are shown at a speed slower than normal to help explain the effect of temperature, activation energy, geometry of collision, and catalysis upon the reaction rate. Then, potential energy curves clarify the relationship between the energy required for a reaction to occur and the relative position of the reaction particles before, during, and after the collision.
