Students work with a selectively permeable membrane to learn about osmosis, diffusion, and water potential of cells with one comprehensive lab activity. The kit provides all the basic materials needed to perform the various parts of AP Biology Lab #1, including WARD’S special feature: premeasured sucrose packs for each concentration required in the lab. Each concentration of sucrose is premixed to the exact amount so you can reduce your preparation time by simply adding the contents of each of the packets to one liter of water. All you need to supply is a potato and an onion.
