Variable running speeds plus wet or dry polishing capability make this unit versatile for any specimen type. A conveniently located selector knob at the front lets you choose speeds of 300, 375, 450, 525, or 600 rpm, depending on the hardness of the material you’re polishing. A threaded hole accommodates a 1/2″ rod to hold an aspirator bottle, and a drain is fitted with 3′ of 1/2″ I.D. tubing. With no permanent plumbing necessary, the unit is easy to relocate. The 1/4 hp motor, with ball bearings and 3′ cord, and v-belt drive runs quietly. Two 8″ aluminum polishing plates are included, with a wire band to hold polishing cloth or paper.
