A micrometer dial at the base of the unit allows you to control the thickness of the sample exposed on the cutting stage. You can cut a sample as thick as 10 μm. The knife is ground and constructed of tempered surgical steel. It comes with a carrying case. Size of stage: 3 1/2″H x 3″ dia; size of knife: 7″L.
