Six different precision-fitted parts and pop-bead connecting bonds make the scale model easy to assemble. Students not only construct the model, but also paint the parts to become familiar with DNA structure, including antiparallel DNA strands, purine and pyrimidine base-pair H-bonds, 5′ and 3′ DNA strand ends, proper Angstrom spacing, and pitch.
