Take apart the three-dimensional model of a chloroplast and remove the thylacoids and linking stroma to reveal the interior structure where photosynthesis occurs. Patterned after the latest electron microscopy interpretation, the structure is depicted in longitudinal and cross sections to show the interior of the chloroplast enlarged 60,000X; one quarter of the model is cut away to reveal the inner detail in three levels. The two-piece model is mounted on a stand and comes with a study guide identifying nine structures. Size: 15 1/2″L x 10 1/4″W x 15″H.
