Place your 5 or 10 mL sample in the trough and plankton are counted as the wheel rotates. You can also use a low power stereomicroscope to see the entire field as you rotate the wheel, insuring rapid and accurate counts. The clear acrylic wheel is 4 1/2″ dia. x 1/2″ and is mounted on a 4″ x 4″ x 1/4″ base for stability. It includes instructions.
