An Inexpensive Alternative to a True Stereomicroscope |
Use this compact monoscope for many of the same applications as a stereomicroscope, at a significantly lower cost. Ideal for younger students, it features durable cast-metal construction, coated glass optics, a slow-fall head to prevent the head from crashing down when the tension screw is loosened, a built-in stop that prevents damage to the objective and the specimen, slip clutch that protects gears, removable white stage plate for contrast, and a 360° rotating head. The large working distance provides enough room between the objective and the stage to manipulate the specimen. Rack and pinion coarse focusing allows precise adjustments during observation. It comes with a manual and a dust cover.
