Separating DNA in preparation for electrophoresis isn’t a problem for the tough, all-metal microcentrifuge. Other features include an enclosed rotor with its own lid that reduces turbulence and ensures quiet operation, an internal cooling fan, power light, and special safety feature that won’t allow the microcentrifuge to run unless the lid is closed. It will run in a cold room. The rugged design prevents excessive vibration. The 18-place holder accepts 1.5–2.0 mL Eppendorf microcentrifuge tubes. Maximium ramp range: 1,000–13,200 rpm. 115 VAC.
