The various activities in this set can be used as a series of minilabs, as a combination of demonstrations and labs, or as a set of lab stations that can be done in any order. Most of the material for each lab station is provided in individual bags, and these items are flagged in each section under Teaching Tips. Topics include Spaceship Earth, Density, Crystal Growth, Fossils, Sand, The Earth to Scale, Solar Cells, The Earth’s Place in Space, and Auto Emissions. The manual also gives national standards, teaching strategies, learning outcomes, a planning guide, and pretests, as well as student answer sheets. The set includes materials for multiple classes and more than a dozen lab stations, as well as a DVD and teacher’s guide. Duration of DVD: 20 minutes.
