Test LeChatelier’s Principle |
LeChatelier stated that if stress is applied to a system at equilibrium, the system will readjust itself if possible to maintain equilibrium. Students will explore this principle by encouraging one of two simultaneous chemical reactions that will cause the equilibrium of the mixture to change. They will discover that chemical reactions do not always go to completion and that all are somewhat reversible. The kit contains enough materials for 50 students, a teacher’s manual, and student worksheets.
