PASPORT® Xplorer Datalogger |
Collect Data Away From the Computer and Over Long Time Periods |
Just plug in a PASPORT sensor, press the start button, and immediately begin collecting data in the field or in the lab. In the field, students can log data over seconds, minutes, hours, or days. The rugged polycarbonate case protects the mechanisms from the elements. When finished, they just plug the Xplorer into the USB port of a Windows or Macintosh computer with DataStudio installed and one click later their data — identified by run and type of sensor — is downloaded and displayed. When connected to the computer during data collection, students can see real time data displayed instantly. With few or no computers handy, students can collect data at their desk or lab station and either download it to computers located elsewhere or scroll through the data on Xplorer’s LED display to manually produce tables and graphs.Xplore Datalogger has one data collection channel. You can use multiple Xplorers with different sensors, in different locations, in the same experiment; DataStudio software will merge all data into one data set. Default measurement options (e.g., sample rate, measurement) are automatically set for each specific sensor, but can easily be customized. Sampling rates range from 1000/second to one per day. Single measurements can be taken on command. Xplorer Datalogger collects up to 100 data sets and stores up to 50,000 measurements. Includes USB connecting cable, DataStudio Lite CD-ROM (one per PASPORT order), two AA batteries, lanyard, and a user’s guide. Size of Xplorer: 2 5/8″W x 6 3/4″H x 1″D.
Please note: Available to U.S. customers only.
