Among this microscope’s tamper-resistant features are a one-piece eyetube and condenser housing and a plastic shield to protect the iris diaphragm. Both the eyetube and stage clips are locked-on, and the unique “C-wrench” keeps control of focusing tension in the teacher’s hands. It is an easy-to-use microscope for students, with an eyepiece pointer for measuring objects in the field-of-view, a reversed nosepiece design that allows for easy slide changing, and an attached cord-hanger for safe and hassle-free cord storage. The cord is also grommeted to the base to avoid detachment. The Ultra Lite® fluorescent illumination system features an increased bulb life of up to 10,000 hours, a whiter field of view and decreased heat transmission. Other features include retractable 40X and 100X objectives, Abbe condenser, a slip clutch to protect gears, and a stage stop to protect optics and slides. It comes with a manual, tension wrench, and dust cover. 110 VAC with a 6′ power cord.
