Construct and Deconstruct the Double Helix for Close Examination |
An easy-to-assemble DNA model, this stunning re-creation consists of specially-shaped, brilliantly-colored plastic pieces. Each base in the 12 base-pair model is a subtly different shape, and the sugars are made from a slightly different plastic so the model flexes correctly to create a realistic double helix. You can deconstruct the double helix into two separate strands by removing the central supporting spine and pulling the helix apart along the hydrogen bonds. Additional pieces are also included for constructing RNA strands alongside the DNA. Size: 9″H.
