Through a series of four experiments, student are exposed to diverse applications of PCR. The module’s activities include Molecular Biology of DNA Amplification by PCR, PCR-Based Alu-Human DNA Typing, Drosophila Genotyping Using PCR, and PCR-Based Identification of Foodstuffs from Genetically Modified Foods. Materials are provided for ten setups. A thermal cycler, micropipets, electrophoresis equipment, and a power supply are required, but not included. Note: Includes coupon for perishable materials.
