In spite of stringent manufacturer controls, trace amounts of allergens can be found in foods such as cereals, baked goods, and snacks. In this simulation experiment, students will determine how trace amounts of contaminating peanut allergens are detected in food products. Includes materials for six experiments. All experiments are created and classroom tested by teachers and science education experts. Each kit includes an experiment guide with background information, procedures, safety recommendations, and an evaluation quiz.
