Real Time PCR Lab Activity |
Introduce the Latest Protocols in PCR Technology to Your Students |
Monitor the reactions throughout the cycling steps in this experiment without the use of agarose electrophoresis. In this activity, amplification is monitored while the reaction is ongoing, so students can conduct quantitative analysis. A fluorescent dye added to the PCR reaction binds to the DNA as it is amplified, and the resulting fluorescence is measured. Activity can be completed in 50 minutes and includes materials for 10 setups and instructions. A thermalcycler, micropipet and tips, microcentrifuge, balance, and UV transilluminator are required, but not included. Note: Includes coupon for perishable materials. Redeem by mail, phone, fax, or email.
