National and Other Upcoming Opportunities:


Voya Unsung Heroes Program:
The Voya Unsung Heroes program has helped thousands of K-12 educators fund their innovative classroom projects especially when they meet a local need. Check the website for details.


Bayer/Monsanto Fund:
The Bayer Fund offers three different grant programs, each requiring an invitation. Contact Ward’s Grants Services Team for help locating a Bayer facility and getting an invitation. We can also help you find a farmer who will invite you to apply. Deadlines and details vary by program.

Bayer Communities grants are for organizations within 55 miles of Bayer/Monsanto facility and dollars awarded vary by program.
The America’s Farmers program is in the 48 contiguous US states. Farmers choose the organizations they want to support for a grant of $5000.
First Robotics: Check the website for details.


NEA Foundation (National Education Association):
If you or someone in your school is a member of the state chapter of the NEA, you are eligible for these grants from $1500 to $5000 for classrooms or professional development. Check the website for details and current application timelines.


Toshiba America Foundation:
The Toshiba America Foundation contributes to classroom science & math education projects. However, they do not fund computers, tablets, microscopes, etc. Deadlines vary by grade and amount of funding requested.


DonorsChoose:
On this website, teachers post requests for classroom resources. The application is very easy and there are no deadlines. Projects under $600 have a high chance of funding. Register online then contact Ward’s Grant Services Team for tips and help with your application.


USDA/National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) offers education grants to promote and strengthen agricultural science education and professional development. The websites for the three grants listed below have various requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
